Zelensky Warns of Escalating Russian Attacks on Grain Corridors
Thursday, 23 July 2026
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia is escalating attacks aimed at shutting down Ukraine’s grain corridors. He noted that no vessels were able to enter Ukrainian ports the previous day.
Zelensky made the statement during a joint media briefing with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, according to Ukrinform.
The President added that logistics, grain, agriculture, and energy are all extremely important issues. In July, Russian forces have systematically shelled port infrastructure in the Odesa region and civilian vessels.
During a Russian attack on Odesa region port infrastructure on July 14, a Marshall Islands-flagged vessel was hit, resulting in two fatalities.
