Iran Warns US, Israel Against New Attacks
Sunday, 2 August 2026
Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi told Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan late Saturday that any new U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran, including with regional countries’ cooperation, would face a decisive and proportionate military response, Mehr News Agency reported from Tehran.
Araghchi said Iran was fully prepared to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security. He said “any aggression, hostile action by the United States and the Zionist regime, or participation and accompaniment by regional countries, will be met with a decisive and proportionate response from Iran’s powerful Armed Forces.”
Mehr News said the two foreign ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations and on recent regional and international developments. They also discussed the continuation of U.S. and Israeli acts of aggression and plots in the region.
Araghchi warned that the responsibility for all consequences of such actions would lie with their perpetrators.
