Taylor Swift Songs Removed From Donald Trump TikTok Videos

Several Taylor Swift songs have been removed from TikTok videos posted by Donald Trump’s campaign and the White House, with some videos displaying copyright-related unavailability notices, ABC News reported on Sunday.
ABC News said the US president used two popular hits from the 36-year-old singer over the past week. The Trump campaign and White House used tracks from Swift’s recent catalogue and earlier hits, including the 2020 song “August” in a Team Trump video showing Trump and First Lady Melania Trump watching fireworks.
The Team Trump account tagged Swift and suggested she would be “super excited” that her music had been used, according to ABC News. The audio has since disappeared from that post, while “Father Figure” and “Opalite” have also been removed from Trump-related TikTok videos.
Several other tracks have disappeared from White House and campaign posts, ABC News reported. Some affected videos now show notices saying the music is unavailable because of a copyright claim or has been made unavailable by the copyright owner, while neither Swift nor the White House immediately responded to requests for comment.
The removals drew attention because of Swift’s history with Trump, who has used well-known pop songs including the Village People’s “YMCA” at rallies. During the 2024 election campaign, Trump shared AI-generated images that falsely suggested Swift and some of her fans supported him, and Swift later cited the fake images as a reason she made her voting intentions clear.
Swift endorsed Kamala Harris after Harris’s September debate against Trump in 2024, calling her a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and signing the endorsement “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady”. Trump later posted “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” and, in 2025, questioned whether she was still “HOT” since he had publicly declared his dislike for her, ABC News reported.
