US released the names of soldiers killed in Iran-backed attack in Jordan
The deaths raise the U.S. military toll in the Iran war to 17 and underscore the risks facing American forces stationed across the Middle East.

The U.S. military on Monday identified Army soldiers James Feehan and Isabella Gonzales as the two service members killed in Jordan in Friday’s Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks.
The Defense Department said Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, died in the attacks, PBS News reported. The military said Gonzales died Friday and Feehan died the following day. It did not provide details about the circumstances of their deaths.
Feehan, a first lieutenant assigned out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to the 32nd Army Air Missile Defense Command, will be posthumously promoted to captain. He will receive the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Combat Action Badge, though the Army did not provide details about the commendations.
Gonzales was a private with the 10th Army Air Missile Defense Command in Ansbach, Germany. She graduated last year from Hebron High School in Carrollton, near Dallas, school officials said. “She gave her life in that service, and our district is heartbroken by her loss,” the Lewisville Independent School District said.
The U.S. military says 17 service members have been killed in the war with Iran. Other deaths include six service members killed in March when a KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in Iraq, a Navy pilot killed in a July 1 helicopter crash in the Arabian Sea, and a service member killed Saturday in northern Iraq during a “controlled detonation” of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian drone.
