Stephen Miller: The Democratic Party is the party of freaks, weirdos, losers, and lunatics
Tuesday, 28 July 2026
Former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller sharply criticized the Democratic Party, calling it "the party of freaks, weirdos, losers, and lunatics" and warned that if Democrats gain power, "the American people will lose everything."
Appearing on Fox News on Monday, Miller said that the left-wing, progressive wing of the Democratic Party has moved from a niche to the party's mainstream, highlighting prominent figures such as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and Senator Bernie Sanders.
According to Miller, Democrats have long benefited from favorable media coverage. "The biggest advantage Democrats have always had is the unified and complete support of the insane left-wing media in this country," Miller said. "They have always had the support of the major broadcast networks, print papers, and also a large portion of cable television."
According to Miller, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have gained influence within the party after multiple election victories where their endorsed candidates defeated incumbent mainstream Democrats.
"They are not liberals. They are not merely left-wing. They are radically left-wing insane communists," Miller said.
Ahead of the midterm elections, President Trump and Republicans have been seeking a more effective way to prevent the increase in Democratic popularity, one reason for which is the failure of Trump's domestic and foreign policy. One way Republicans use to scare voters is to label Democrats as communists.
Miller concluded with a harsh warning about the consequences if DSA-affiliated candidates gain power: "If you give these people power, everything you know and love in this world will fall apart. It will lead to chaos, corruption, decay, violence, and poverty. That's how it ends."
