Drone Attacks Russia's Largest Private Oil Refinery

A fire broke out at the Tyumen oil refinery in Russia's Ural region following a drone attack, as Ukraine and Russia intensify strikes on each other's critical infrastructure, Bloomberg reports.

The Tyumen plant, located approximately 1,700 kilometers east of Moscow and 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, was previously targeted in June. It is one of the country's largest private oil refineries, producing around 151,000 barrels per day, and is a significant supplier of gasoline, diesel fuel, and other petroleum products to Western Siberia and the Ural region.

United24 Media also reported the hit by a Flamingo missile at the Avitek aircraft factory in Kirov.

In recent months, Ukraine has regularly struck targets as far as the Ural Mountains. According to Ukrainian President Zelensky, Ukraine possesses drones with a range of over 3,000 km and will increase this to 5,000–10,000 km by 2027.
