Amazon Prime to Air Series Qbout Melania Trump

Amazon Prime will exclusively stream a new docuseries about US First Lady Melania Trump this fall, her senior adviser Marc Beckman said on Real America's Voice.

“We are launching a docuseries, which is a total different experience, completely new, on Amazon Prime exclusively,” Beckman said. “That will be coming this fall. It's confirmed, and I hope everybody tunes in, because it's going to show a part of the first lady that hasn't been seen yet.”

The series will follow Melania Trump at the start of Donald Trump’s second term and is expected to offer insight into her private life and philanthropic work, Euronews reported. No release date has been announced, and Melania Trump has not commented publicly, Euronews reported.

The new series follows Amazon MGM Studios’ earlier documentary “Melania,” which chronicled the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump’s second inauguration. Euronews said the film was widely panned and ended its theatrical run with $16.6 million worldwide against an overall budget of $75 million.

According to The New York Times, Amazon paid Melania Trump’s production company $40 million for the rights to the film and spent $35 million on marketing. Euronews reported that $28 million went directly to Melania Trump, while a June financial disclosure from the US Office of Government Ethics showed the Trumps earned $10.71 million from the film’s license agreement.

The film was directed by Brett Ratner, his first in years after multiple women, including actress Olivia Munn, accused him of sexual misconduct. Euronews said US lawmakers scrutinised the documentary and questioned whether it complied with federal anti-bribery laws, while Amazon founder Jeff Bezos defended the investment as a “good business decision” and said the company’s dealings with Trump were non-partisan.
