Tehran drivers face petrol lines and closures
Officials said the issue should be resolved within days, but access has been restricted in parts of Tehran amid panic buying and delivery delays.

Drivers in Tehran faced long lines at petrol stations and temporary fuel shortages on Monday and Tuesday, while Iranian authorities said the national fuel supply chain remained stable.
Rokna reported that some people in Tehran said petrol stations had no gas, forcing some stations to close temporarily, while others had long lines.
Tabnak published a similar report on Monday, saying it received comments from readers facing restricted fuel availability in eastern and southern Tehran. Social media users in Tehran also reported petrol stations without fuel in more urban, northern neighborhoods.
Reports of diesel and gas shortages in Mazandaran province and Fars province have also emerged on social media. CNN said it could not independently verify the social media reports outside Tehran.
The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company said the country’s fuel supply chain remains stable. It said rumors leading to panic buying and delays in fuel deliveries were causing the shortages and long lines, and that the issue “should be resolved within the next few days,” according to Rokna.
