VIDEO: Five people injured in Berlin high-rise fire

A fire in a 21-story high-rise in Berlin’s Friedrichshain neighborhood injured an estimated five people Friday morning and forced the evacuation of all residents, local media reported.
Fire Engineering said the severity of the injuries was not immediately known. Some residents considered jumping to escape the flames.
One person was forced to jump into a firetruck’s aerial basket. A fire department spokesperson described the rescue operation as “dramatic.” It was not immediately known how far the person jumped.
The blaze broke out around 6:30 a.m. near the Ostbahnhof train station and was brought under control in under three hours.
The fire started in an apartment on the 11th floor and spread to the unit above. The cause was not immediately known.
