VIDEO: NASA Astronauts Spend Over Six Hours in Space

NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Anil Menon conducted a spacewalk aboard the International Space Station.

It was Menon's first and Meir's sixth spacewalk. In 6 hours and 27 minutes, Meir and Menon accomplished their primary goals, which included preparing the 3B power channel. The work will allow for future installation of solar arrays, called IROSA, that will provide additional power to the orbiting laboratory, supporting critical systems and the safe and controlled deorbiting of the space station, NASA said.
