Deception: Trump secretly left Turkey on a military plane, journalists allegedly left on compromised plane

US President Donald Trump secretly departed Turkey on a small plane on July 8. It was part of a deception maneuver prompted by the threat from Iran, CNN reported.

Trump boarded Air Force One, waved and gave the impression that he was leaving on the plane, but in fact he secretly exited the plane a short time later to sit in a catering truck parked next to the plane. The truck then moved to the smaller Air Force C-32A aircraft, which Trump used to leave Turkey.

Politico journalist Megan Messerly wrote that journalists were asked to keep the window blinds in the press cabin closed after Trump boarded Air Force One. CNN reported that this was extremely unusual.

If Trump's plane was indeed under threat, then the question arises as to why journalists on the presidential plane, who would have been in danger in the event of an attack, were not protected from a possible attack. CNN also notes that the situation was special because the president's actual location was unknown to the American public and many senior US officials for several hours.

According to the Washington Post, the plane, which was a gift from Qatar, the older presidential plane used as Air Force One, and the C-32A took off separately from Turkey for the United Kingdom. In the United Kingdom, Trump transferred to the plane he received from Qatar and flew home, but in the meantime he had secretly re-emerged from the military plane on board the old Air Force One to give the impression that he had arrived on it. The exit from the presidential plane was filmed by journalists at RAF Mildenhall air base in England.

In England, he transferred to the plane he received from Qatar. Trump told reporters that the change gave US military personnel serving at the base "a chance to get to know the plane" and replied that "there were no problems" regarding other problems. He did not mention the use of the military plane.
