On Sunday morning, July 19, Russian forces targeted the city of Sumy with seven guided aerial bombs, striking residential and industrial areas and injuring three people. Simultaneously, an airstrike utilizing guided bombs on the Bilozerka community in the Kherson region killed a 75-year-old woman and injured four other civilians, causing extensive damage to over 20 homes.
Kherson Regional Military Administration Head Oleksandr Prokudin stated that the munitions struck residential areas, killing a 75-year-old woman whose body was recovered from the rubble of her home. Two women, aged 53 and 54, were hospitalized in a moderate condition with shrapnel wounds, closed craniocerebral trauma, blast injuries, and concussion. Two other individuals were treated at the scene.
In the neighboring Kharkiv region, a Russian drone strike on the city of Izyum injured 17 individuals. Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the number of injured people rose to 17. In Sumy, three individuals were hospitalized, and search and rescue operations are ongoing as at least one person may remain trapped beneath the rubble of a collapsed structure.
