Péter Magyar Names Chess Grandmaster Judit Polgár as Interim President of Hungary

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar has announced that he has asked female chess grandmaster Judit Polgár to become the country's interim president. This announcement follows the resignation of President Tamás Sulyok.
Magyar made his decision public via social media, stating that the country needs unity and a president of whom every Hungarian can be proud.
Polgár's nomination has raised questions, as she is not known to possess political, legal, or constitutional experience. Critics have also noted the absence of Ágnes Forsthoffer, Speaker of the National Assembly, who was previously mentioned as a potential interim president. Magyar responded to criticism regarding the educational requirements for the presidential role by referencing former President Árpád Göncz, who, contrary to Magyar's implication, held a law degree.
